Watching Alvarez run the whole length of the field in the last minute when he was already out on his feet was something I found pretty amusing, just as well he got on the end of it. Nick from c&b stood to win 380 quid had it stayed 1-2 he admitted he is seriously pissed and didn't celebrate the third goal and he should have cashed out. Fair play, I'd feel the same.

'I understand that you begrudge the club any succes'

No I welcome it. Which is why I think we can actually achieve better with the right manager despite the jaded context you justify Moyes as a success against.

Redknapp finished 5th and 9th before being sacked for less than the form Moyes had last year, That was way before we became a sell out largest ST holder base in the PL, and became the 10th highest net spenders in Europe for the last decade.

MOTD made it look far more one sided (to Everton) than it was.

Indeed. Probably his worst ever game for us. He still looked pissed off to be hooked mind

Not chelski? Or manure? Pathetic

Our ''one man team'' fella Paqueta is playing like he's been out for 6 months, not just a few weeks, spent most of the game on the deck. He needs to liven up.

The dodgy stream I had for this game meant I never really got into the first half, so decided to wait until MotD to see the game. Difficult to judge the overall performance, we scored three good goals and I am really happy with another win. So hopefully onwards and upwards.

I understand that you begrudge the club any success and therefore disregard our only silverware in 43 years. However, in the PL era that you are focusing on, we have only finished high enough to qualify for Europe on 3 occasions prior to the Moyes era (99, 02 and 16). On that basis, qualifying 3 years in row and winning a cup is a comparatively good result in the eyes of West Ham supporters.

Lucky to stay in the game at 1-0 with Dwight McNeill playing central and exploiting our soft spot in front of the centre backs, Alvarez got the runaround for an hour with and didn’t get anywhere near McNeill,it was a clever move from Dyche to play him there and it would of paid off for him if it hadn’t been for Areola who was excellent .Great technique from Tommy for his goal.

Sure. However, unless you're new to football, It was a two year old competition that we were second favourites for, and cannot be used comparatively against any other manager in our history.

And none of the previous PL managers have won a cup

If you want to focus purely on results. None of the previous PL managers suffered more defeats in a season than Moyes got away with last season.

An entertaining game for a change. Paq's not yet back up to speed after his injury. Alvarez and Kudos ran their socks off, and Areola was immense.

I liked the look of their defender, Jarrod B.

I've concluded that something must happen to the TV pictures between Blighty and the US, because Nutsin sees a different game to the rest of us. It explains a lot though

I agree Nutsin. Unfortunately Paqueta and JWP had one of their poor games but overall we weren’t so bad as we have been at times. I think Moyes is allowing us to attack more but we don’t seem able to keep the ball.

I wasn’t at all surprised when Areola saved the penalty nor when Soucek scored. The Alvarez goal showed his determination and stamina topped off with the skill to lift the ball over Pickford.

I’m looking forward to the next few games at last….

Fuck the performance, have a beer and feel nice and warm inside.

These are my favourite kind of wins. End to end, riding our luck away in Liverpool, they were given a penalty Zoo could do absolutely fuck all about as his arm was slightly behind him and essential to his balance as he got the ball blasted at him.

A heroic goalkeeping effort, a goal RIGHT at the end of the game, then STILL feeling hard done by that West Ham were beating them at home they commit everyone forward and Eddy the beast dinks a lovely clipped ball over the England keeper.

The ref even gave them about another ten minutes added on time but with EVERYONE against us, from the officials to the co-commentator on the stream I watched we PREVAILED.

LOVELY STUFF.

1st half moyesball. 2nd showed quality with moments of clinical finishing. Areola saves last 2 games top drawer. Alverez played really well. All goal finishes superb. Still want Moyes gone, we have some good players need to be much better managed. Mavropony in no man's land for theirs

I thought Everton closed us down quickly all game, although the game opened up in the second half.

I thought Kudus was our best outfield player today, he ran at them and was our main threat going forward.

What a team we are when healthy, we have some real quality.

Looks like we are not missing Benny, no surprise there….. Room for improvement but some promising progress has been made, overall I’m liking what I’m seeing! A couple of quality additions in the summer and we will be right up there amongst it.

What a shocking performance. Everton schooled us in terms of possession ( the only thing that counts in the eyes of the WHU cogniscenti ).

So where do we go from here? Outdone in possession more than the Brexiters did the remainers, allowed more goal attempt and on target outcomes. It simply beggars belief that the owners are satisfied with consecutive two clear goal victories and are happy overall with Moys
